GTA IV mod installation help

Hi i have downloaded the only 2 mods i want but can not figure out how to install them.
this is the only game i have this prob all my other games i can mod easily.

so my question is can someone please take the two mods i want and create a self installer for them so that they go straight into the game

I'm going to make some tutorials really soon - now that you're requesting, I'll probably just make them tonight. I'll post the link here once I'm done.

later on im going to do a texture mod like the johnny klebitz one

hi mate the tutorial is great ive got the grenade launcher installed
but when trying to install the Johnny mod i get to this step:
"Open up SparkIV, and click Open. Browse to GTA IV\pc\models\cdimages\playerped.rpf and open the file."

this error screen apears:

i am the system administrator and i have the retail version of the game.

sorry, i'll add this to the tutorial now, but you need to make sure that all your files are not read-only. find the file you want to edit, right click, go to properties, then uncheck "read-only"
