Here's an application I made that supports GTA IV with the v1.0.1.0 patch. It should work. If at any time you wish to use the original files, just use the revert button. The MiniPatch button is if you've already activated the patch, then reverted.
Anyways. What it does is bypasses the file checking method set by RockStar.

This is a really simple tool, good work on it. I'm not using it as I've already installed the Magic IV mod, but this will be great for beginning modders :)

Apologies. I'm working on a stable release that will be my Christmas present to all you modders. Hopefully I'll be successful tomorrow. If not, I'll post the source code up for [the community] to work on.
My patch is now fully functional. I've tested it on a fresh install and the v1.0.1.0 patch from Rockstar Games.

That's odd. Did you apply any other patch (like the "magic" patch)?
