Hey everyone i don't have a XBOX 360 or PS3..
I know fail but I'm more of a PC.
anyway i REALLLLLLY want to get GTA IV but i heard the requirements are much more heavy then the minimum and recommended that were posted.
I also heard 8800 series wasn't doing to good.
Here are my Specs
Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP3 32bit
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT 512MB
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5600+, 2814 MHz
I have 4GB of ram installed but since its 32bit XP it caps at 3gb of ram :/
Do you guys think i will be able to run the game at High Specs and get good FPS.

from what i've been hearing alot of people with brand new hardware can't even achieve high specs

nolimit, that system might run at Lowest Detail if you are lucky, mainly because of the CPU
I will have the same problem because I'm on 2GB DDR and a 320M 8800 GTS but a bit slower CPU than you.

Only 1 way to find out; try it.
There isn't an accurate way of judging what hardware will run the game well (if it will even run it at all) at the moment. The game is a buggy mess as it stands. Some people with better hardware than you can't run the game, some people with worse hardware than you can.

if i had that system i would buy GTA IV, i have an 8800GT and i will be re-buying it on pc haha in about a month.. looking foward to all the mods

I doubt there will be any mods for a while, this and the major problems with the game I would honestly say don't bother to buy this game for a long while, at least until some of the half arsed problems are sorted and someone hacks the game to bypass all the fucking safety checks so you can install some mods.

Looking forward to some mods, especially some tools, I just hope R* don't pull a hurf druf on us and seal everything up. Granted, being in an MP game and a guy's modding is a pain in the ass, but it's modding that helps a game last longer, I can't tell you how many times I've loaded Halo PC up again due to a new mod/map.

I've got a faster (slightly) computer than you and it doesn't run so good on high. Specifically a Dual core opteron at 2948 MHz, a HD4870 1GB, and 3 gigs of ram
