GTA IV DLC Mystery

Well I was looking at images and I found a new gun that is in the game now, I have never seen this gun before in Niko Bellics time in LC. Im guessing its some kind of a silencer.

He's also wearing a different jacket to the one he wore in Niko's story. In the pic he's wearing a leather jacket. In Niko's story he wears a black top with a green waistcoat.

HAH! 20 or 50MB YEAH RIGHT, This needs to pack all the missions scripts, Weapon Data, Weapon Models, Player Models, New Character Models, New Audio, Cutscene Audio, Car Models, Car Data and Replacement Radio Stations. This is at least 1GB, that is the very minimum I'm expecting the size to be. GTA IV is 6.8GB, so if TLAD is going to be a mod over the game, then 1GB sounds about right to include all the replacement data whilst streaming and keeping things from GTA IV.

So you would need a x-box with a 60 or 80gb hard-drive or the Elite to run it then plus the full gta 4 game

If it's around 1-2GB and it does require GTA IV on the hard drive, then it should still fit on a 20GB, I have GTA4 installed on mine, game saves, a couple of Arcade games and Rock Band DLC and I only have around 4.5GB Left.

I wonder how it's going to work anyway. I wonder if it's going to be like a special feature accessed on Niko's phone or if it's set before will we be required to play it before Niko's story or will the 2 stories intertwine or will there be a menu where you choose who to play with before the game loads up or what? Also, I wonder if Johnny will have his own phone, contacts and friends. Ooo so many questions. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

That's not a silencer, that's an extended barrel on a 1911 clone.

I think it will be. Simple you download it and the game loads up and you have a story mode option on your Phone where you select it. Or you get a text messages telling you there is a new option avaliable

I think it will be even more simple, you download it and a new option appears under your games "GTA IV: The Lost and Damned" except that it will not boot unless the GTA IV disc is in the drive.

800 is the standard Arcade game cost, if this is as big as it sounds then I'd bet between 1200 and 1600.

Good idear if they do that. Just make it an option under your games. Will it have a different save file or will it be part of your gta 4 save file

from what it sounds like i'd say it will be entirely separate besides the fact that it will be using data from the GTAIV disc and installation wouldnt make sense to have the save with the GTAIV save file since its gonna be a new story and character

Well, I'm 99.9% sure they will just addon to IVs achievments.. Halo did this, oblivion did this, gears did this.

I also think rockstars power over GTA is enough for them to convince microsoft to let them have 500G per pack but if they will or not is another story,

Well the average for an expansion of this size seems to be 250. 800 seems a little optimistic as the main game has only 1000.

If they add achivements, I think it will be Auf Widersehen [Insert Biker Gang Leader Name Here] 9win everything in Multiplayer), an achivement for the highest Muliplayer ranking, an achivement for ranking up in Multiplayer initially, an achivement for completing story and a few for completing a few key missions and a few for the activities and friends. I'm guessing that 100% completion will not have as much to do as in GTA IV itself, though.

This DLC is the equivalent to an expansion, like Shivering Isels was to Oblivion, Halo 3: Recon is to Halo 3 and Wrath of the Lich King was to World of Warcraft, or like London 1969 was to the original Grand Theft Auto. So, I would think that it will most probably get another 1000G.

Erm... you keep referring to it as Trophies, int he Xbox 360 it's called Achivements. You do know it's exclusive to the Xbox 360 right?

Yes i know. I know it is a x-box dlc only. I am only say when you complete the game 100% do you get any rewards at the end. Or just as you say just get the Achivements

from what i understand so far it seems like the DLC will be almost a game itself entirely although probably far far shorter than the original, so as for in game rewards i dont think they will add something for completing the dlc other than an achievement.
It will probably have the standard GTA rewards for completing certain missions in the story such as new safe houses and weapons.
I'm also wondering if they are gonna keep the friend system for the DLC story, although i like the phone idea sometimes having all kinds of friends calling u all the time was annoying, hope they don't give us a new set of annoying friends to "take care of"

maybe so. that was a pian in the arse. But it also kept you busy, when you had nothing else to do in the game

yea it was quite bothersome when u were trying to find pigeons or stunt jumps and u had brucie crying cause u didnt hang out with him, i always turned the phone off when i was trying to do those things but then id need to call roman for a taxi, call kiki to lose my wanted level or something like that and forget to turn it off again and then id get a million calls and text messages in like 2 minutes

the way i worked it. Was put it on sleep and just steal a car if need be or when i got a wanted level i would have a shoot out with the cops wait until te place is clear and drive or run out of the wanted zone

yea well it got tedious trying to lose a wanted level every other pigeon specially since i was following a map and i didnt wanna keep leaving the area and have to go back for another pigeon

I have a really cool idea: Bike Customization (This is based around a Biker, isn't it?)

We can go around the city to maybe collect... let's say: 100 Bike Customization Parts: Decals, Vinyls, Other Misc. Parts, etc.

That'll be really cool, since the collectibles would be of use! And add a subpage in the Stats part of the menu to show which collectible you've found, which you haven't, like in Midnight Club: LA. That'll be cool too!

GTA IV is the first GTA i've ever collected all of them and thats only cause there was an achievement and it makes my "e-penis" bigger lol
i'd rather them add more side missions like car theft missions/import export

Collectables are a great way to explore the city in places you never visit, just because you don't like them doesn't mean other people don't. Personally I hated some of the RC Races in previous GTA Games but I wouldn't wish them away cause I don't like them.

but if they add more in the DLC they will probably add an achievement for them and my ego will make me do it even tho i dont really wanna
