Ok, so to make a complex issue short, I completely replaced player.img with another modded version. The older one I had is no longer existent on my pc. When I load my game, my player model still loads as he would with my old img file, and not with my new one. SOmehow GTA is loading an img file that no longer exists. I have Vista, and i've completely cleaned up all backup/shadow copies, restarted my pc, even started the game with NO player.img present in the models folder, and GTA still loads the old version that does not even exist anymore. How could this be? I'm stumped!
It is as if GTA is loading some phantom copy of the old file somewhere totally hidden.
SOLUTION: Heh, apparently there WAS a hidden copy stashed away, but I have no idea why the game was using THAT copy, and not the one provided in the actual models folder.
