oK OLIN just corrected me on this image infact it is Driver 2 on the GBA.

Coulkd the game look like that, yes it could, but the DS is capable of achieveing much better graphics than that, as Olin said, that's a GBA game, the very last generation of Handhelds.

but with the difference in these images there is not that much they can get out of the D.S unless the game is set 2d which means they can do more with the graphics

I'm yet to see a decent looking 3D game on the DS. I always imagine it being just for games like Warioware and all that. I don't know, I'm interested in seeing some screenshots... hopefully Rockstar Leeds can prove me wrong :p

that game that tries to copy gta has really good graphics...i keep forgetting its name. but it said that it wants to be better then gta in every way

A good example in a previous post is Max Payne, that was done by Rockstar Leeds and they managed to squeeze that out of the GBA.

Codemasters did a great job with GRID on DS. It's easily the best driving game for the platform, closely followed by the awesome Mario Kart DS.

Probly the best animation i'd ever seen on the GBA was with Kingdom Hearts: Chains of Memories. The actual gameplay used sprites, but the cutscenes were holy-shit amazing. Maybe not on par with the PSP, but damn close. This is probly a surprise to most people cause they don't expect a lot from GBA. Rightfully so. Point I'm trying to make is, they could do 3D (with sprites) and still make the game look amazing through their cutscenes.

you do realize that the 'cut scenes' you mention in your post and link to are pre-renderd animations that have nothing to do with the graphical capabilities of the GBA right? anything that has video playback of the right format could show those cut scenes.
