I was always wondering how do people do it. This morning I realized that I was sleep talking and I laughed. I woke up I was suppose to goto the pools but rain hit our city so I called my friend and I was mumbling and was talking random. This was the first time I ever realized that I was sleep talking. Is there anyway to stop your self from Sleep Walk?

You could try tucking your sheets under your bed lol, It wont stop you from trying but it might make it pretty hard?
I'm not trying to be silly or anything, but that's all I can think of besides tying yourself up but that would be kinda weird?

I used to sleep walk when I was little. I used to walk down the stairs in the middle of the night, set off the burglar alarm and then go back upstairs to bed again without waking up - even the alarm didn't get me x)

I don't think I've ever talked in my sleep though.

I never shut up in my sleep, people refuse to sleep in the same room as me.

One of my sisters once had an entire conversation in her sleep with her boyfriend who also talks in his sleep.

So you sleep with both eyes open?

That's very true phlipp. You really can't stop sleep walking/talking without really hardcore meds. It's like trying to control dreams, who would want to? If it were me I'd just let my body do what it needs to do.

Oh and it's subconscious:)

I was sleeping in the back of my stepdad's truck with a friend once, and he said i just sat up, put my fist in the air, and yelled "Yo, Yo America!" And then layed back down.

I talk in my sleep, and i used to sleepwalk to my mothers bed across the house when i was little.

When i was about 10 years old i had a Sleep Walk "incident".

All i remember was that i had a fever, and was practically uncomfortable all night, even dreaming was pretty hopeless. And the next time when i woke up i was near the edge of the stairs leading up to my room and screaming that i was going to kill myself.

3 years later when i was supposed to wake up from school, the alarm clock greeted me to the majestic beuty of me flying through the air face forward into a cupboard, broke my nose. I still don't know if i jumped out of bed or ran into it.

You can't control it. When you sleepwalk, your eyes are open, that's why you never seem to walk into walls etc. I'm not sure exactly how it happens but i've studied a little bit of Psychology branching off into consciousness and I know that when we dream our body is paralysed to prevent us from acting out our dreams, which i think might be during REM sleep. Sleepwalking happens when we aren't quite fully asleep yet. I don't know about talking, when I hear people talking in their sleep it's not usually english, it's mumbo jumbo words. Sometimes people sleep talk using proper words and sentences but most of the time it doesn't make sense. Seeing someone sleepwalking can be scary in the middle of the night, their eyes are wide open with a very blank look in their eyes and they just walk around. It's only a problem when you leave your house while sleepwalking, like my grandmother did a few times :(

I wouldn't want to stop it, i reckon it's heaps funny. I've had a fair few sleep walking and talking things to. Probably my first one was when i was really little and i was having a dream about living in an 8 storey house and my mum was looking for my sister. I ended up yelling irl "SHE'S AT THE TOILET!!!!!" as loud as i could and woke up everyone in my house.

I always do weird shit when i've been drinking then i go to sleep. One time we were having a house party when my parents were away and one of my mates was sleeping in my room (SSH, for those who know him). I woke up in the middle of the night, left my room and sit in the office, stood up straight away, walked back into my room and stole SSH's blanket (i apparently had my eyes open and looked hell freaky), then i walked into the bathroom without turning the light on, sat on the toilet and fell back to sleep.

Other times include sharing a bed with one of my sisters friends recently. her asking for a bit of the blanket, me yelling "TAKE IT ALL!!!" then storming out of the room only to go to the toilet and come back as though nothing had happened. And the funniest and weirdest of them all, after a big night of drinking me and one of my mates were sleeping in my room. He woke up in the middle of the night and saw me walking to the opposite corner of my room and standing there and he says "what are you doing?" and i go "FUCK OFF!!" and apparently i was peeing in the corner of the room :P Hahaha. So funny hearing that story the next morning.

Sleep + Alcohol + Legham is a bad combination.

I used to sleep walk years ago, my mum would tuck me in bed then i'd get back out of bed and follow her downstairs, or wait a bit then go downstairs and make her jump haha, and i used to sleep talk, i still do but it's rare that i do.

A story about my uncle that my mum told me, when he was young, probably around 10 i think it was, he went to bed on a school night in his pyjamas, and woke up in the middle of the night, got dressed in all of his uniform, went back to sleep, and he was all ready for school the next morning, he was well freaked out, haha.

It's weird about sleep walking and sleep talking, I don't think that you can control it.
