Good question Mouldy. I can probaly average around a day maybe sometimes an all nighter.

But starting something with no theme like my sigs/banners, it can probaly take a week or so but thats because Im trying to gather good ideas and whatnot.

@Pyromaniac: Yup. Using threshold on a photograph can produce some vivid and grungy results :)

these are good, i saved them for later use, but i think the pic of me at the Zoo is gonna stay my wallpaper for a while, lol.

Anyways, uhm...so you say you used PainShopPro? whitch version?

cuz i have version 8, and i have messed around with it, but havent found anything THAT special. You gotta tell how to make those....

not exact word for word, but in a netshell, lmfao.

I use Paint Shop Pro 7.

Nutshell directions

1) Get a 1204x768 pic of a city or pic with a lot of detail.
2) Colors > Adjust > Threshold > 150-170
3) Make another layer and add a gradient layer of your choice.
4) Make the gradient layer have the "Hard Light" on the layer palette

Pretty much those steps but I encourage you all to mess around in Photoshop/PSP and come up with your own ideas/techniques. :)

PyroHazard

I don't think PSP8 has threshold but i know PSP7 does. They switched around some stuff on PSP8 :|

Its alright but I know thats a different effect than threshold. Couldn't Jasc make things simpler by not moving around so much shit?

Yeah I gave up on finding the threshold thing so i just experimented with different effects

.:Mouldy Punk:.,

Your 1st try one has many problems. I am not picking on you just letting you know. The stroke on the words "Grand Theaft Auto" has to be set at least 3. And the words have to be conjointed. And you need to have some better colours for the background picture, the words San Andreas have to be be curved and no space betwenn the words "San" and "Andreas". Like this "SanAndreas".

Thanks for the pointers. I'm dont really do much with psp or any graphics program really, only little things like logos and banners and things like that.
