In-Game Map missing? (PS3)

About 3 days ago when I was on my way to a mission in Alderney (I forgot where exactly) I noticed my in-game map (The one inside of the health and armor bars) was no longer showing. I tried going to a new saved game file, however, the map was still missing. Not even creating a new profile could fix the bug. Has this happened to anyone else? What could have been the cause? And is there a way to fix this?

try reinstalling the game..if that doesn't work then you have just found out a major glitch!
