Questions before the purchase.

I plan on buying an XBOX360 and GTA IV this week but I have to know:

(1) I've heard of the problems that the game is having freezing up and such and also that the disc itself can damage the system. Is this true?

and

(2) Red ring of death: Do the newer XBOX360 systems have this issue?

1. Yes the game tends to freeze at times. I haven't heard anything about it fucking up the system itself.

2. The newer models are much less prone to RRoD unless you misuse the system.

Good to know but is it like a few seconds freeze or a drive you fucking crazy because you have to restart the system freeze?

Restart system freeze. Through about 30+ hours of gameplay it's happened to me about 5 times. Twice when I got into a cab and it just stood there and I couldn't get out or anything.

That's kinda fucked up but whatever, the game is like crack.

So far my 360 has only frozen once while playing IV and required a restart. Game runs pretty much flawlessly.
