anyone feel the clothes are a major step back from gta san andreas? I've only found three clothing stores and theres no real colors. Black/grey/Manilla. There's no reds or blues.

I think clothes are a HUGE step back. yea the game doesnt need to be in depth as San Andreas with eating, etc...BUT appereance options shouldve stayed.

I think it's for the better, the clothing system is MUCH better, the costumes you can buy only suit Niko, and the purchasing process is much faster, at least with this you get the gear quickly and you look good, Niko isn't meant to be dressed up like some rapper with like 80 gold chains around his neck thinking he's "gangsta''" or a "G". I like that it's just top, pants, hats, glasses and shoes. Really, when playing San Andreas, did it really matter what watch you was wearing or what barely visible chain you had?

ive already unlocked all the clothes stores and my niko looks cool. along with those clothes a few easter egg ones and mission clothes id say its enofe for me!

Whos to say people from Russia dont like supporting their favorite sports teams?......When in Rome, Do as the Romans do. Ok so it MAY not be his style, doesnt mean it shouldnt be offered....Im sure hockey helmets werent CJ's style either, along with flying planes/sky diving/jet packs and alot of other stuff people would say "doesnt fit his stereotype"......fact of the matter is its not in the game, so be it...BUT....that doesnt mean just because russians dont like body kits, modding was left out....I know a few russians here in the Chicago who have tricked out IS 300's. Niko is who YOU make him to be, not R*....If that was the case it would be like the Scarface game in which you cant make him hit women, because its not "in his nature." R* may say Niko's not the type to kill innocent people....well guess what, when the controls in your hand, you may just go on a killing spree. Wanting or not wanting different options in the game is fine.....but we need to get off the because certain cultures this, certain cultures that excuse. 1st off...alot of "illegal Imigrants" here in the states would beg the differ regarding modding cars. A matter of fact alot of them make a living doing such. So you're telling me a hard up Russian has better things to do then put tinted windows on his car, but has enough time to go to the local clothing store and buy a pink tie??? BTW im pretty sure when we all first started the game we were focused on making a living and not pimping out our cars....but ya know, there is a such thing as beating the game in which Niko can breathe easy meaning he can enjoy the finer things in life. He's not gonna make it to the top and wear scrub Russian clothes forever and live in a shack driving beat up taxi cabs. Bottom line is if Niko didnt come to the U.S to remain a scrub....he came here for the exact opposite, just like Scarface and alot of other people.

The clothing system downright sucks.

You have to scroll through 15 pieces of clothing before I can find the top I want to wear, then have to scroll 15 pieces the other way in order to find my pants? Not even speaking about shoes..

They should've gone with the drop-down menu or a selectable menu.
The clothing is 'alright' though, however - with so many clothing brands and so many other designs, you'd think they'd let Niko have some more clothing. What about a basic black tee with a black hoodie? (casual style, not hiphop).

I agree that Niko shouldn't go hiphop. I mean, that's just not his style. But I've seen clothing on people in IV where as I thought.. Wow, this would look good on Niko. Yet I couldn't buy it.

Not saying I'm missing out, just said that with a little more effort, the game's shopping element could have been seriously streched. But then again, I am getting enough for my bucks, just think the clothing selection thing is messed up.:smash:

You're doing it wrong then, you can see the clothes on the shelf, racks, etc, you should be able to walk up to them and chose them RIGHT away, the scroll option is if you want to check other stuff without moving. For example, in the Russian Shop, when walking near the racks it will "Press LB to try on Brown Jacket and Balck Top", walk a little further to the beige one "Press LB to try on Brown Jacket with Beige Top". Just because you've fucked up doesn't mean it's worse, you're just doing it wrong, haha. :D
