the usual suspects takes place on the west coast. i wouldnt be surprised if we saw a little of that film in the game

If they base this on any movie it'll probably be the west coast crime genre. Don't be surprised if you see influences from ghetto type movies like Boyz N The Hood and Menace II Society. Movies like Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs or maybe even the aforementioned The Usual Supects, maybe Training Day and The Shield which both highlight the much more seedier side of Los Angeles.

I don't want SA to be based on any movie... maybe take parts from movies, i want it to be "original"

Ya it will be taking parts from movies like the final mansion fight in VC and the the bloddy tube was from Scareface but Training Day type of game for SA would not be cool and Reaper u right Pulp Fiction was awsome

I think R* will and should base SA on a successful movie.
It would take a lot longer for them to sit and think of a story. Instead they base SA on a movie its gonna be done alot faster, because the story is done, all they have to do is twist it a bit for the game. :)

it's hard to say if they will base SA on a movie. I mean it's like VC it kinda was based on a movie but at the same time it wasn't... so who knows...

i was thinking more about the usual suspects. it takes place with them in jail in nyc (liberty) and they go out west (san andreas) to pull a major heist for kaiser soze. this could be a continuation with the current storylines

im a big fan of it. it has one of the best twist endings of any movie made. i suggest everyone go rent it or buy it

I'm pretty sure it'll take influences from various movies, but I don't think it'll be specifically based on any one movie. Not too much anyhow.

nah, they get set up and thrown in jail and they decide to all pull a job together. when the go out to the west coast they are approached by kaizer soze's lawyer informing them that they all ripped him off at one time and they have to do a job for him or else they and thier entire families will be killed. kaizer soze is this ruthless criminal boss who no one can actually prove exists or not, but regardless everyone is terrified of just hearing his name.
I think the font looks a bit like such a pirate movie or something.. kinda reminds me of that.. Who knows
