Brand new wishlist begins right now. What do you want to see in the downloadable content which is coming this winter for Xbox 360?

(PLEASE NOTE: This thread isn't for the discussion of the DLC. So far it has been announced for Xbox 360, with the first episode arriving some time between November 1st 2008 and January 31st 2009. No further info has been given, so please, speculate away!)

My main hopes are:

New cars! I mean NEW cars - some nice brand new cars based models which weren't available or announced when GTA IV went into production. Smart Fortwo look-a-like please?!
New area to explore. It doesn't have to be big, but some new streets to have a walk around would be nice.

i hope they bring the achievements up to 1250 with the DLC.
oh and think about it this way, your getting like 500 MS points with GTA IV so thats at least half the price of it :P

- New story mode. I was always disappointed when the main GTA stories ended and we were left to fend for ourselves. This includes new characters, interiors and dialogue.
- Revamped multiplayer: Unlockables and ranks like CoD4 would keep MP interesting.
- More weapons.
- More cars - Smartcars, ftw. Or how about right-hand driver imports from Japan and Britain?
- A few new radio stations, or at least an updated track list.

Yep, I like the Atlantic City idea. Or making it snow. Updated radio would be good. New cars obviously is always great. But I would like you to be able to buy your own place too, which a big garage, or a penthouse, Niko has to get him some money.

You can do it but it takes practice.

I think you have to slow down then use it to kick the back end out whilst holding the steering in the opposite direction and revving the accelerator.

It can only be done with certain cars like the rear wheel drive ones but remember just to tap the handbrake once. Works for me.

Back on Topic:

For my wish list on the down loadable content would have to be the ability to travel to Vice city and later San Andreas rather than releasing individual games like they did previously. It should be doable and you would definitely need a hard drive.

It'd be great if they did and then we can actually use the airports for something rather than have them there purely for aesthetic reasons like it seems to be.

What i can foresee being the down loadable content is weapons, cars, clothes, and episodes.

At first, I thought having Vice City as DLC would be way too much. Then I figured that since Miami is much, much smaller than New York City, Vice City doesn't need to be as large as Liberty City at all and could be DLC.

I had another thought - they should incorporate the Liberty City Swingers into a story line somehow. I heard there isn't a stadium in the game, so that could be added, along with a whole range of missions in which Niko uses his 'talents' to help the team.

I don't think that story line has ever been used in a GTA game either.

If there anything that can amaze me more than this game already has it would have to be..... SEASONS!!! :) Imagine leaving your safehouse only to see a huge blizzard going on outside complete with heavy snow cover everywhere. Imagine driving in those conditions. Other than that, more activities and missions would be great (along with letting us do them online).

If there's a new storyline, they should introduce new gangs and have more available interiors, such as Statue of Happiness/Rotterdam Tower/Zirconium Building etc.

A few new weapons including a Silenced Sniper Rifle & Pistol would be worth the money. But ultimately, I hope to see new islands or Vice City/Las Venturas as they're both talked about a lot.

i havnt got the game yet, but from wat i've read/seen:

proper safe houses with garages
customisable weapons (scopes, silencers, clip size etc)
customisable cars (ala S.A)
if extra map was put in, and it wasn't one of the gta offshoots (vice city etc) i'd like it to be more of a countryside setting. there's enough city in liberty already
parachute
killing spree modes brought back into it (the skull icon in vice city)
gangs like in S.A (it'd be cool to drag around a few goons to do drive bys with, especially with the new physics

A replay saving feature(like Halo 3, this would be awesome... especially being able to share online), a split-screen and/or system link multi(with free roam) and of course some more characters and missions.

Instead of a new island i think they should finish what is there it seems to me ALOT of stores, particularly in alderney were slapped together at the last minute... they look good driving by them, but when you go up to them they are these 2D "stickers" pasted to the windows and they look horrendous!!

So i say forget a new area they should do the interiors of buildings and stores! new clothing stores (wheres didier sachs?), REAL restuarants (not burgershits), & more bars, and activities to do with your buddies!!

A few more missions, maybe 20 or so for each DLC. A few more vehicle and an island or two would be cool.

As for weapons, give me a silenced pistol, silenced sniper rifle and a Barratt .50CAL and I'll be smiling. :)

Obviously new vehicles, clothes, missions, maybe a new character or two, with their own special ability and missions. Also, an automatic respawn option for the cars you've parked on your own parking zone. I always lose the cars I've saved. And a colour palette for the Pay'N'Spray would be nice. Skipping 30 hours to see the 10 colours that you did not want is a bit unrealistic and inconvenient... That is what R* were trying to avoid, right?

And the split-screen freeroam thing would be great too.

Although those the auto-respawn and the colour palette shouldn't be DLC IMO. More like an update or something.

Ive been thinkin about this forever, Screw new GTA games every few years. They should honestly devote one whole system, called like , "Life" or something where you could go anything in GTA you could ever imagine, but instead of small maps they should make the whole world available. and instead of differnt servers, have some kind of master server to accompany everyone. In the game it would be your choice to go around killin cops and doing psychotic missions, OR you could just simply go to the pool hall and have a good game of pool vs friends or computers. See instead of having seperate games for the same console, make one console with all possibilities already on it. It would be an immense project but im sure it would be worth it. Then after that ensure it can be patched and everyone playing ANYthing could just as simply get run up on by a digital gang doing a crime spree across North America. you guys feel it?

im not going to say anything about expecting more land, but really, its not that hard to put more in. They have the layout worked out now, so it wouldnt take all that long. Though I believe a new city is out of the question (additions to the current area are not, maybe just a little branch out of an island or something, just a residential area or somethin.)

yeah but despite that fact, RPGs are so expensive and i managed to get arrested by the cops after completing storyline (only happened twice!) and it cost me well over $100k to replace all my weapons and stuff
money is too hard to come by (unless you attack the armoured trucks)

as for DLC: i hope the PS3 gets something cool seeing as it all started with sony...tho maybe not! i would like to see some more weapons, as well as interiors, and base jumping off the ESB! and more choppers, so far i think there are only 3 kinds? Helitours, military and random one on helipad in algonquin. the chopper needs missiles!!!

This is a good point. There is a lot to the city that wasn't used - in every area. I'd like to see a little more time spent in the pj's, a la The Wire.

I still haven't finished the game and I don't own a 360, so my continued fascination with this thread baffles me.

I would rather they do that with Vice City. Just take the models and load them into the game much like we did for GTAIII by loading it into the vice city game engine.

A map editor like in Halo3 where a host can go into the game and place weapons, vehicles and items around the city. Also with the ability to save your game mode as a new multiplayer game type for future use.

I would like to see some of the special function vehicles come back.

Tank: I know a lot dont want it in the game but having a tank battle in the game would be really awesome. Just like that old arcade game called Tokyo Wars. Just something extra that would extend the life of the multiplayer.

Sea Chopper: I want the pontoon helicopter back that can land on the water.

Cargo Helicopter: Another thing to extend the life of the multiplayer. The ability to move vehicles to locations otherwise unreachable by said vehicle was a great addition to San Andreas and would be a great addition to IV.

Functional Tractor with several trailer types. I want to be able to drive that logging truck that they use in the chase mission scripts.

Functional bulldozer, dump truck, fork lift and crane truck.

Functional ladder truck

A seado to help round out the water aspect of the game.

I want the stormy seas of San Andreas back. The wave height is only about half that of San Andreas.

A sigle player mansion to store all the special vehicles and weapons you find in the game.

I want to be able to use the whole cell phone functionality in multiplayer. I want to be able to dill 911 for polic, fire and ambulance assistance.

Finally I would like them to rework the physics engine so that you can walk around on vehicles that are moving. Not to the extent of previous game but you should be able to walk around on the tug boat while someone else is driving it.

Even though it could be cool at add in SA or VC, I think the current build of liberty City has plenty of potential to fulfill everyones hunger for more to do. Open of the fair, fill in more stores, add in all the extras that were talked about and then later left out. Like it's been said plenty of times, some more weapons or more things you can pick up off the street (2x4, trash bags/cans, broken bottle etc...) more building interiors, and houses. Mansions don't really fit the focus of the game IMO. A usable trunk could be fun just to have in general. Theres not to many specifics that I want but there is an extreme amount of potential to take it up a notch and I think R* should listen to it's fans and really step up to the plate with the DLC.

You read these forums and are working will be working on the DLC soon or as we speak. Here is some stuff I didn't see on this thread that I would like to see in the game. PS some of the stuff I contribute has been mentioned, but to reinforce I will repeat a little.

NYC has some things that LC doesn't that I would love to see.

I love the people playing chess in central park. It would be cool to play those people for money in middle park and also to play friends in multiplayer. Imagine having your chess game interrupted by some other gamer walking up and shooting both of you.
I miss the dancing from SA, I want to go into the club in Northwood where Dwayne and Little Jacob like to go.
I want to get drunk in a more realistic way, sitting at the bar (choose pisswasser or logger beer or vodka...etc and drink bottle after bottle)
It would be awesome for the museum of natural history to open and I know this is ridiculous, but possible. How about the tom hanks planetarium show got spoofed. If you've been to the Museum of Natural History in NYC you know what I mean. That would be cool.
It's been said before, but seriously...gambling was a given for the game. Where is it R*? How could that not be in here. Atlantic City, Online Gambling....How come Roman can gamble and we can't. Niko isn't that principled, c'mon. I'm sure he would play every once in a while.

It would be cool for the missions to be all about the Yakuza. I miss the Yakuza...bad! Oh! and the Yakuza have the casino in GTAIII, it's perfect! People would want DLC so bad.
How about movie theaters and you could watch 5 min short films, not many. It would just be great to do the dinner and a movie date, then get her wasted and......why can I sleep with prostitutes in the car and not girlfriends. That would be cool not to have to even go upstairs for coffee. She gets drunk and climbs on you in the car

Also the multiplayer could have more depth.

I want to get drunk in multiplayer and I want to go bowling play pool and everything else you can do with AI friends with fellow gamers. Maybe each of the games could be a multiplayer mode? I know you can do this. Please!
I want a pacifist multiplayer mode: you can't kill anyone. Only car crashes kill. (maybe this wouldn't work, I know there is a friendly fire option)
COD4 connects me all the time no problem, what is going on with GTA4 multiplayer for 360? Also I read somewhere on here that the PS3 Multi is screwed too.

that's all I have.....sorry it's a lot, it would be cool if there were new cities or islands. Rock* doesn't need to make another game for the system, they could keep adding on to this one. VC, SA and new characters and storylines for each. I don't know if that is really feasable. I wish R* would tell us what they have in mind. This is what I would do.

Katana? Chain gun? None of those would fit well. Give us a silenced pistol, and thats all.

More cheats? Especially "Peds Attack You" and "Hovercars"

The option to customize cars, as it's already in the game. Take the car called Dukes, for example. You can get it with a hood scoop, a supercharger sticking out of the engine, a front bodykit, a spoiler, or louvers. I've seen different Dukes with those options mixed matched, so it wouldn't be that hard to choose your parts.

I want a cheat to be a pedestrian, and you can choose your pedestrian clothes (Shirts, glasses, hats, the ped customization is almost the same as multiplayer character customization)

We might see more missions, I haven't beat the game but I know the ending leaves SOME unfinished business.

Heres something small, how about an in-dash view. If you look closely, the steering wheel doesnt work, and the guages don't work either, but many people would still enjoy it (Adjust the camera more so you dont see much of the steering wheel and more out the windshield)

A Beretta 9mm and .50 CAL Sniper Rifle. Not necessarily silenced weapons, but the option to purchase a silencer for the weapons and add/remove as needed with a button press, I'm thinking RB/R1 since it doesn't appear to do anything whilst on foot.

Unlock more interiors or have buildings under construction to be completed (FunFair to re-open/clothes shops and food stores to be accessible)

Minor vehicle performance customization, nothing big, just like adding a turbo or body/wing kits to certain models.

Maybe a few extra vehicles; there doesn't seem to be many small coupe's or 3/5-door hatchbacks.

Since DLC is basically a spin-off from the main stuff, how about more wacky, less-realistic missions? 2 Examples:

-Cloning is covered in several newspaper stories in the game, so how about Niko finds out someone's cloned him and is using it to commit crimes Niko gets the blame for? So Niko has to fight a group of copies of himself, or possibly even unnamed copies of old GTA Characters.
-The mob hires Niko to take out a new "wall-climbing"crimefighter who's been hassling their operations, so you get a mission where Niko has to steal a Hunter and chase him down as he jumps across the rooftops of the city, ending up fighting him on foot when the Chopper Crashes. Or you can extend it a bit by having missions where Niko figures out the guy's secret identity (eliminates some false leads, before just following the guy while he's in costume, and observing him duck into an alley, with only some plain clothes guy coming out, who Niko follows to the "Daily Globe" Newspaper building that's in the City. And that's where Niko goes with the Hunter to chase him down in the final mission. A bonus for clearing this mission is getting his costume.

A lot of your ideas aren't the same thing as 'Episodic Content'. Everyone is suggesting total conversion mods. Most you'll get is additional missions, possibly new cars/clothes/weapons, but I highly, HIGHLY doubt that there will be new cities.

I want replay mode back. Even if it's only 10-30 seconds. I had the perfect ROFL moment just now. I was in Alderney, just escaped the police in my Primo, hit the Cinematic camera and went all Slo-Mo. Now if you are at your safehouse here, head south a little and there will be some sort of factory or shipping building, well I hit a pedestrian followed closely by a tree in Slo-Mo, thus forcing me through the windscreen and tumbling along with my victim.

As I got up and went to retrieve my car, I noticed it wasn't where I left it, supposedly wrapped around the said tree. After quickly looking back in the opposite direction, I noticed some steps leading to this factory or warehouse. Well here's the ROFL moment; another innocent ped is minding his own business, reading a paper, walking past the bottom of the steps. At this exact moment, my unmanned vehicle is steadily ploughing towards the poor fool and the inevitable happened:

!WHACK! his body quickly became close friends with 2 tonnes of cold steel as he folded over the bonnet and was knocked backwards. Bemused, he got up, dusted himself off minus 1 hat and carried about his day. Not the least bit concerned that not only was he just a victim of a car accident, but also completely oblivious that the vehicle itself was short of a driver.

Yeah Chandler there should be an option to make each cinematic view fixed and not just changing in sequence. I hate it when I'm enjoying the left wheel camera and it changes to a top-down view. They should only change when the right stick is moved.

I notice a ton of unused features...more or less the cars. Most of the more powerful cars have a noticeable redline and overrev..why not randomize a manual trans for some of the sportier cars and add a greater feel to the game...honestly over 35% of the average cars in the US are stick.

Also..I noticed ton of work put into the interiors of cars...they look amazing...we should have a full 360 panning ability in first person view to admire and appreciate.

90% of people in this thread are missing the point. Episodic DLC is the only confirmed DLC. Episodes.

Episode: A happening that is distinctive in a series of related events.

So no new features, storylines. I predict a whole new story arc, possibly with Niko as the Protagonist. We haven't met all of the mafia families in LC. I'm hoping for 5-6 missions that form a mini storyline, maybe with a few new characters.

I would be extremely surprised if this installment included a brand new city, however, I would not be surprised if Rock* decided to include more of Alderney or even Staten Island. Making a new city at this moment would be counterproductive to the overall profitability of the IV franchise, since so much of the install base will not be able to enjoy (buy) this DLC.

Now I know this ain't exactly on topic but I was just sat playing GTA IV a bit ago and was thinking about how awesome a Mcreary spin off would be, you know, like the "Stories" games. Set back when the Mcreary's were running things in LC. You play as all the Mcreary's, following all their seperate stories, like how Gerry rose in the ranks of the criminal underworld, Francis's rise to police commissioner, the whole thing with Derrick, Bucky & Aiden and how Packie got involved with the mob. im sick of this niko bellic kid, make a gang boss or some gangsta ( saints row 2 was and is more fun, but GTA has the graphics and driving system)
you should be able to see CJ in the possible new storyline and see MORE CHARACTERS FROM THE PAST
in multiplayer, your a passanger you should be able to use an assult rifle instead of some crappy sub or pistol

This is a wishlist lol smile.gif Some ideas could work for a new GTA game and some for the DLC but I post everything here.
I have two pretty big, main ideas and also ALOT of minor wants. I can post it all but the post will be friggen big.
Anyway the main ideas are 1) Playmode and 2) Different mission ends.

*What I mean with playmode is that since when the DLC comes, you will have to choose if you want to play normal GTA
IV or the DLC. Then you could as well choose playmode or normal mode. Playmode would in my opinion include crazy
weapons, cars, physics and so on. Weapons could be flamethrower, minigun, katana and so on. Vehicles could be a
monster truck or something. And physics in playmode could be ragdoll and limbs off. Blowing up the wooden houses in
Alderney. All of this is VERY unrealistic and overdone so that's why you should be able to choose. Those who wants
to play normal can do that and those who wants to play crazy and start mayhem can do that. If you read through my
whole wishlist you will notice there are alot of things that need playmode and that it's not a bad thing tongue.gif

* The second big idea is different mission ends. Complete the mission as a sniper, a stealther, bombing,
assaulting, as a gang, with C4, coming from roof (helicopter), sewers, undercover and so on. Everybody can do their
mission their way, as they like.

* More gore. Bloodsprayer against wall. Those who want realistic can't complain about this, it's not realistic as
it is now.

* More discarded rubbish, perhaps a glassbottle or something, I don't know.

* Get a gang and start a gangwar (of course nothing you HAVE to do, just if you want)

* Police use spike strips.

* Focus more on fun (again, thinking of playmode)

* Where the f*ck did the bicycles go?

* Parachute (jump from Empire State Building or another way to do a mission?)

* This is not my idea but good as hell! Moveable saving spots, like a caravan.

* When you run against a wall and press jump you autoatically grabs and climb over. But when you run against a car
from the side and press jump you automatically slides over the hood (like Niko in the last mission movie).

* Being able to lay down on your belly to sniper or shoot beneath a car (a button you could actually use would be
holding L3 button on Xbox, it doesn't have any function yet, only pressing but not holding). This would add higher
precision.

* When a car comes against you and you press jump, you could step on the hood, then on the roof and when you land
you make a roll instead of just being a clumsy jackass and get hurt. Of course, if this should work you need to
have good timing and the car can't drive too fast.

* Hide your victims like hitman. In a dumpster or something. Don't know any button that would work though.

* Funnier physics. If you're shooting a wall with RPG-7 it should blow up to pieces and perhaps a rock would hit a
pedestrian or a car so it will get damaged.

* Ragdoll idea has got alot of critics, but it would fit in playmode.

* I want limbs flying. How often does a human remain entire after being hit by RPG? If overdone, put in playmode.

* In MP when you die, the killing shot triggers a slow motion so you fall back like in SP. Think this with a
headshot.

* Barret, C4, smokegrenade, flashbang, ironpipe, claymore and so on. The overdone weapons -> playmode.

* If anybody has seen the movie "Heat" they know what good weapon echoes mean. When they are on the big road
shooting cops it's so nice echoes from M4 (I'm not good with weapons biggrin.gif) that I almost get chills tongue.gif

* Customize weapons with larger magazines, red dot scopes, laser sight, silencers, grenade attachments and so on.
Overdone --> Playmode.

* Being able to aim BEFORE pulling out a weapon so that you just take it out and make a fast kill (close only).

* Duel wield pistols and submachine guns.

* When you are not driving you should be able to do drive-by with M4 or AK. Also open a door and fire RPG (maybe
playmode). Also sniping from helicopters would be realistic and fun.

* Quad bike and buggy car.

* Buying various garages around the city. I can't store more vehicles sad.gif

* Customizing cars in SA was really fun. NOS, neon lights and so on. The over done goes as usual to playmode smile.gif

* We have parking spots for cars, but I'd like (if only one) a helipad so you can save a helicopter.

* Tank in playmode.

* Being able to refill gas to cars (NOT A HAVE-TO! Only if you want).

* Cheetah sad.gif

* Waterscooter.

* I'd like to have assasination as a sidemission like vigilante. It doesn't need any scripting, just a random
person to murder.

* I loved the mission Three Leaf Clover. It would be awesome if you could gather up friends like little Jacob and
do this mission over and over again. Could be a nice way to earn money.

* Trees make a huge difference. For example: In Crysis they crack when shooting them. Also, make them burn after a
molotov or RPG or something like that.

* Windy, it doesn't have to be like hurricanes but just so trees wave and paper fly around.

* I would like to be able to climb on houses better like in Assassin's Creed except that Altair could climb
anywhere smile.gif You know what I mean.

* Better sun reflection.

* It would be hard to do every single floor in every single scyscrape in the game. But I think everybody would like
to do a shootout in the 3 upper levels of offices in a scyscrape. To get there you use an elevator. And when you do
the shootout papers would be flying around in the air and people throwing themselves to the ground.(And what about
leaving the area with parachute by jumping out of the window? Lol......)

* I don't want to press a button to get into cover. Do like army of two. That way the cover button can be used for
something else.

* If you're walking in a strange neighboorhood late at night, there should be brawls and so on.

* When you shoot at a car how often do you just accelerate slowly? Just make the pedestrian do a badass start and
get the fuck out of there! Hope that explains.

* Multiculti people. That makes the game worth remembering like "Do you remember that
Jamaican/Mexican/Japanese/Italian/Chinese/Nordic guy?"

* Get rid of that evidence! "OK I'll throw him in this container", in other words, drag people away.

* Sometimes I want to play legally (What? It's nothing wrong with that!) so I simply stop at red lights. But those
stressed motherfuckers behind doesn't realize that. They don't see me as I'm stopping for red light but a car who
blocked the way so they drive up my ass. That ain't cool.

* When I walk the street with a drawn weapon, the pedestrians should be more aware and take a wider turn when
walking by.

* If you point a gun at somebodys face I want them to sometimes go down on their knees and pray for mercy instead
of just running away, that just makes me wanna shoot them in their knees smile.gif

* If you crash in to another car pedestrians nearby will come to aid and try to help both you and the other
pedestrian out of the car.

* I'd really like to see people (seldom) that make a bankrobbery and a lot of police cars outside. So that the
mission mechanics works in normal gameplay too.

* Make some psycho persons, perhaps out in nowhere or in an alley there could be a really scary, psycho man

* Looking back on what I've written, we really need playmode.
