yep no problems here. I supose the only bugs with the graphics was that some people had to instal that patch to get rid of polygon corruption

Well, I speekein about some texture bugs. Somewhere some textures are invisible. And the Pete's motor shop's name is invisible too. I don't see it on the glass. A see only the moto... Have you got a Geforce4Ti4200? I've got this card. Maybe it's make the bugs. What are you think?

if some of the textures are invisable try going into compatablity mode of win 98 (if you are runnin XP) XP has some minor little problems like with the game

On my PS2, sometimes the graphics flaws and the grass mixes in with the ground and camoflauges into the cement, trees, stairs and the ground sometimes get blurred or dissapear and I end up crashing into the objects. For X-box, not much of this occurs but I don't about PC since I've NEVER played it on a computer and it probably depends on how good of a videocard you have.

gran turismo is a good game, you race for money, use the money to buy better engines, etc so you can enter harder races and earn more money. And all the cars have real names as well. The graphics on that game are really good.

@ Ramboy : PC will always be better than any console because

1. Its more customisable
2. You dont only play games on it
3. When the games start to get to good for your pc, you just buy new bits, upgrade the parts instead of having to buy a completly new machine, which is what you have to do when PS2 gets obsolete (already has so they are making PS3,) Xbox (also obselete as they are making a xbox2)

So can everyone stop debating what console/machine is the best?? Because people always end up getting pissed off and no-one likes these convos any way.

The PC version of San Andreas (if there is one) will probaly have extra features, that the ps2 version didnt have. Like the replay and mp3 feature of Vice City. They will do this to give the people who own the ps2 version a reason to buy the PC version ASWELL as having the ps2 version. And also so that people who dont own a ps2 can also own the game. So Rockstar has increased their target audience so they can rake in more money. So yes. Even though a PC version hasn't been confirmed *yet*. There will probaly be one any wa.

:D That is top of the end pc parts....but quite alot of mid range graphics cards are ALOT better than any console. And they are cheaper. It also depends where you buy your pc. If you buy a dell or hp etc....your splashing out extra cash for no good reason. I bought all the bits of my pc, and built it my self. It was top of the range for £250, thats with all the hardware. Xbox2 is probally going to be £200 (guess) and my pc still probaly kicks it.(not trying to boast)

I think it is better on pc, because pc hardware is better than ps2. PS2 is getting outdated now, the hardware isnt up to pc standerd, when ps3 comes out that will change the story, temporarily, until pc catches up and takes the lead again.

I personally perfer to use the mouse to aim, and the arrow keys to side step and walk forwards, although as a bit of an FPS fan, I'm used to that kind of control system.

The whole performance issue has two sides to it, the PC version will work better if you've got the right hardware and it's all up to date, but otherwise, it might be so bad that 2D sprites (HUD sections and gases/liquid splashes) don't have a transparent background, and appear with black squares around them. Meaning that you can't tell how much ammo you have, or what pager messages say, and you can't see out of the snipers scope.

Just how old is the PS2 now? I may be wrong, but I imagine it's lasted longer than any PC could.

Graphics definatly, and as vice city's minimum specs were 800mhz, the san andreas will be higher, I think the ram will be ok for a bit longer though.

heres the deal its probly comin out 6 months after ps2

first i buy it for pc, diddnt work on my comp so i tried it on my dads
and it worked with very bad graphix KINDA laggy, so i returned it.
i go to gamestop and try to convince my brother to pich in 15$ so i could buy gta3 for pc because it has lower system requirements and he says "no i want to play as tommy"
i say "you do play as tommy just with different cloths"he says "i want to play with vc cloths" i say "come on". months go by and vc gets game of the year i say" thats it" and a month after i buy a ps2 and a used copy of vc. ps2 was almost free (mom paid some) . 2 days later i see my brother putting in player cheats on vc i say " o my gosh im gona fu#kin kill u" he says "ahhhh" 2 months later i get gta3
for ps2 (on sale) 2 months later vc disc gets scrached "noooooooo" now stuck wit gta3.1 month later i buy once again vc for pcand im torcherd with bad graphics cause of video card. 2 weeks later mom gets new pc i install vc on it things are great.1 month later i miss ps2 version and try to fix up the disc and now im typing this

That's a big set of events. I bet SA will come out the same time around VC came out for PC.

Well, I dont think so... In Vice City was only 1 city, but in SA will be 3. The makeing of SA is longer than VC (its 2 years), so the R* spendin a lot of timeof makeing the PC convertion. So I think the PC version is not comming out till 2005 december. But its only my opinion...

GTA Gamer: Thats a good story. And what do you think about pc version?

Yeah good point. I'll probably come out twice as long as VC for PC did.

I don't think the size of the map has anything to do with the time it takes for a console/PC conversion. What takes the time is changing the code of the game engine so that it runs on a pc and making new menus, save functions, graphical tweaks, changes in texture mapping etc. I think it'll take about the same amount of time that VC & III did to appear on the PC.

If you guys are STILL thinking R* is gonna make a PC version, then you're probably going to have to wait until Februrary. Which would be cool because my b-day is in Feb. No it shouldn't take R* more than a year to make the PC game. It should take them 5 to 7 months depending on how good the game is.

Exacly. And the converting is not means the code only, it means the new textures and the better effects too! And dont forget! The PS2 is very diffrent from the PC, all the consoles are! There is the XBOX! The makeing of PC Halo takes two years from the makers life, and the Xbox is more like PC than PS2. You know what I mean?
