It is our pleasure to welcome you to the new version of GTAGaming. We've worked hard to bring our many years of highly acclaimed news, content and downloads into the present day with a refreshing, more open layout.
On the new site you'll soon notice that everything's much easier to find. Along the top is our main navigation bar and from here you'll be able to access the many zones of the site which relate to specific games in the Grand Theft Auto series along with downloads and community features.
Each game retains its own personal identity on the site, with a customized color scheme letting you know exactly which game you're browsing. Navigation is now exclusively on the right hand side of the site and you'll find a new menu waiting which responds more visually to your cursor movement.
Alongside the new layout, today we are also announcing the GTAGaming Grand Theft Auto IV Giveaway. Every GTAGaming member is eligible to win Grand Theft Auto IV merchandise with a top prize of the forthcoming Grand Theft Auto IV Special Edition. Some of the prizes we're giving away are ultra rare pieces of Rockstar Games and Grand Theft Auto memorabilia which you won't find anywhere else.
As just one of many planned updates for GTAGaming, today's revisions are purely visual. We're working hard to bring a number of new features to the website, many of which are driven by new web technologies.

Hah, we started like last June with the design and stuff, and crazy stuff went down and it was re-redesigned, then we started code work on new back end but we decided last week it was taking too long to do it that way, so this past week we coded the layout into the old back end coding. So the next time there's a v3 update, not only will you see new features, but the site will run on a new, cleaner, better, improved, blahwhateveretc. back end, which will also allow us to link the site and forums together so you will no longer need to use edgeid's to comment news posts.

no I mean each users post box is wider from side to side, and it doesn't adjust to the size I have the browser window open too like its suppose to, an inch or so of space has been added on, and it was smaller from side to side before

The width is about 200 pixels wider now. Nite, could you take a screenshot and sort of show what you mean?

Very nice! I'm impressed!
Looks alot more smooth and fresh, and has a Web 2.0 felling to it, if that's what you call it these days.
Looks amazing and I'd say the staff that worked on it made a damn good job.
Yea overall the main page looks nice, the only thing I don't like is the wider width, it uses more desktop space at small screen resolutions like mine, 1152x864, and making the browser window smaller adds a scroll bar from side to side which I was avoiding

They layout was specifically designed to fit on fixed 900px width, so the only way anything could be done about it is if I were to redesign this whole thing.
The VCS en LCS buttons on top of the page both lead to the same page:P
slim nevermind all those posts I made, I forgot I could change the forum layout via my profile, I wen't back to v2 Beta so its all good now :P

That's because a VCS section was never actually made, but we're going to have one up soon.

New site looks fantastic, but you guys forgot to change a little part in the GTA IV overview.
Grand Theft Auto IV will be simultaneously released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this fall.
Shouldn't that be this spring or this April?

I'm Having some trouble using it on Opera. Nothing is showing up.
and I mean nothing aside from the links that say "GTA: IV, GTA: VCS, GTA LCS, GTA III".
But there is no post reply, no threads, nothing.
EDIT: Nevermind its working, and it's gorgeous.

That^ says it all, you kept the site spirit, an its look is just as good as before, just a knock up job there, GTA desisigners,or whatever you like to be called:)
edit: Im still puzzled on what made the differance ? I use ie7 , because I'm to lazy to changre,well...anyways I have no trouble with it. I don't know if its a browzer/ server thing...but it works better on my PC.

New look is not bad. Like that you've kept mostly the same color scheme, and I also like how it doesn't look overdone like some other sites.

I submitted. As I've stated, it doesn't look that different, I can def see some different features. *IMHO*: Make the collumn where the latest files, forum activity etc not as wide.
AS A LONG TIME GTAG MEMBER AND LOYAL ONE AT THAT, I THINK MY DEMANDS SHOULD BE MET

Believe me I agree that the bar is too wide but there is one cranky man that won't let me change it. I won't name any names but let's just say he's a well-fit man who works in the garbage industry.
But anyway, all the passwords are encrypted so shush up.
