MARSony warns players not to use their PS3 consoles GTAGaming.com - General News | @ 01:42 PM CST | By Neil
UPDATE: The problem has now fixed itself and the console should now be able to Sign In and play games like normal, a side effect is that your current date and time on the console will now be in the future so just remember to set it back to the correct date and time.
In an unprecedented event affecting many PlayStation 3 owners, Sony has announced that it is currently battling a "bug in the clock functionality" of early 'fat' models of its console. The problem causes the system's clock to be set to the incorrect time and date, rendering many of the system's functions useless. The problem appears to affect all users of these larger models of console, including those who are not connected to PlayStation Network. The company is advising players not to use their consoles until an update is available, which it says should be in the next 24 hours. If you do turn on your console, the problem will manifest itself in one of the following ways:
Owners of the new 'slim' model of PlayStation 3 are not affected by this issue. For more information, visit the Playstation Blog.

FEBGTA IV: The Good, the Bad, and the Future. Grand Theft Auto IV - General News | @ 08:45 PM CST | By victim
Almost two years after the official release of Grand Theft Auto IV, IGN's Mike Thomsen has written the perfect summary of what makes it the game it is. The article answers important questions: What made people love the game? Why do some fans of the series despise it? And what is the future for Grand Theft Auto?
The article praises the gaim for it's aesthetic appearance, while smashing it for turning "a game about driving and shooting into a satire about the great American delusion." Ultimately crediting the game for the experience that simply driving around Liberty City can deliver. Niko, Johnny, and Luis are all hopeful characters with some modest goals for the future. Each carries the weight of their tragic flaw in that they've chosen to build their plans for the future on the quicksand of the violent idiots who surround them. They've each put their faith in the worst possible characters, and that misplaced loyalty becomes the turnkey of destruction. It's frustrating to have such an evocative and open-ended experience suddenly weighted down with the constrictions of episodic television, narrated by the plodding logic of criminals. It's a sharp and uncomfortable waking. Agree, disagree? Leave a comment telling us your thoughts.

FEBOne Year with The Lost M.C. Grand Theft Auto IV - General News | @ 11:30 PM CST | By Ash_735 ![]() It has now been one year since Rockstar Games released the first DLC content for Grand Theft Auto IV titled The Lost and Damned. The DLC also became available as apart of the Episodes from Liberty City collection at a later point in the same year. In this title players were able to take control of Johnny Klebitz, the Vice-President of The Lost M.C. Alderney Charter, a character who is seen is Grand Theft Auto IV a couple of times and is deeply involved with his own problems surrounding his gang and its members. Upon its original release on Xbox Live, The Lost and Damned was quite a success for Rockstar Games with few reviewers actually saying this is how DLC SHOULD be done. Rather than adding small things to the game, Rockstar Games added a whole other side to Liberty City with new Characters, Vehicles, Music, Weapons, etc, that gave off a totally different feeling compared to what players experienced with Niko Bellic. With Episodes from Liberty City coming out next month for the PlayStation 3 and PC Gamers, I can assure you that this part of the DLC is very satisfying and very well made with a brilliant story backing it; it certainly is something to look forward to playing on the 30th of March! For those of you who have already played the game, feel free to tell us your favorite things such as Missions, Songs, Best Gang Shoot Out you've had, etc in the comments!
