Voting is now open for the 28th Annual Golden Joystick Awards and as expected Grand Theft Auto and other Rockstar related games have made it into the voting list! Voting will be up for the next few weeks so you will have plenty of time to get your say in before voting closes and the winners are picked.

This year Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars appears in both the Downloadable Game of The Year and the Portable Game of The Year categories. Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City makes an appearance in the Soundtrack of The Year category and Rockstar North shows up as a contender for the UK Developer of The Year.

Of course Rockstars latest game Red Dead Redemption has managed to get into the shortlist to, appearing in the Action Game of The Year and the Ultimate Game of The Year categories.

So get Voting people!

Rockstar Games have released a brand new downloadable expansion for Red Dead Redemption called "Outlaws to the End", which lets up to four online players team up, and take on the ruffians of the wild west. Some missions include defending wagons, rescuing hostages, taking out baddies while riding a raft down stream, and much more. Outlaws to the End is 100% free, and available now for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360

To obtain, start up Red Dead Redemption, and at the main menu, press "Triangle" (PlayStation) and "Y" (Xbox 360) to access the game's downloadable content manager. You will be taken to a screen where you can view a list of add-on content. Press "Square" (PlayStation), or "X" (Xbox 360) to take you to the online store, where you can pick up the co-op pack for free.

Continuing on with the fan made GTA IV videos here we have one done by one of our forum members, Big Fella, who has taken a lot of influence from the official music video for Audioslave's "Show Me How To Live" by recreating in Grand Theft Auto IV based around the events of "The Snow Storm".

The wait for some of the best weapon mods to make it to Liberty City is finally over! Weapon modder GRIM has allowed GTAForums member r.schuindt to convert and release all his weapon packs from GTA San Andreas to both GTA IV and EFLC. GRIM's mods have just under 400,000 total downloads in our database, so there's no denying their popularity and this first introduction to the GTA IV engine is a real treat.

Here is a case of too much time on your hands! Here we have a music video made from the Sound FX from GTA IV, The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony titled "Vivid Outburst", while at points it sounds like a barrage of sound, most of it comes together quite well and is pretty impressive.

Aside from the promising financial results and staggering Grand Theft Auto IV sales figures revealed yesterday, Take 2 also had one other piece of news that will be of interest to Grand Theft Auto fans.

CEO Ben Feder revealed that a new version of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is in development for iPad and will be released later this month. The new version is being developed specifically for Apple's tablet computer, which has sold over 2 million units since it was introduced a few weeks ago.

Following the release of the original Nintendo DS version, Chinatown Wars moved to PSP and then to iPhone and iPod touch. The new iPad version is likely to be the best looking to date thanks to the tablet's 1024x768 native resolution.

Shareholders, analysts and other onlookers were yesterday treated to the revelation of Take 2's quarterly financial performance. Rockstar Games' parent company revealed that it generated $254m in revenue in February, March and April 2010 - a big increase on last year's figure of $174.3m. This resulted in a net profit of $16.9m.

Aside from this reversal in fortunes, the company also revealed that it has sold over 17 million copies of Grand Theft Auto IV since its release in 2008. The game continues to sell well despite being available for over two years.

Those hoping for a surprise announcement of the next Grand Theft Auto game at E3 should prepare to be disappointed, according to a news story from earlier today. Rockstar Games has told VG247 that it will have no "presence" at the annual show, due to take place in Los Angeles from June 15th-17th.

All may not be lost though, as last year's show saw the announcement of Agent, the PS3 exclusive title in development at Rockstar North. The news was broken by Sony rather than Rockstar and a similar situation may arise later this month.
