AUGRetrospective: Grand Theft Auto Top Down GTA - General News | @ 08:48 AM MDT | By Ash_735
Over at EuroGamer they have a Retrospective article up for the original Grand Theft Auto, looking back at their first impressions of the game and how it stands up today compared to newer Grand Theft Auto games. It is a nice little read and worth checking out, even if it's to just remind yourself of your reactions to the original game that started this series.
As mentioned in the article, Grand Theft Auto is FREE to download from Rockstar's Classics website along with GTA2, so for those of you who have not played these titles, give them a try and see how things were different back in the day!

AUGRDR: Legends and Killers DLC GTAGaming.com - General News | @ 12:24 PM MDT | By Zidane
With the shortage of GTA news, we might as well explain the positives about Rockstar Games' latest efforts away from their classic franchise, right? Rockstar Games has been constantly working on other titles, and you know they must be working on a new GTA. But for now, let's talk about the DLC.
Legends and Killers is an addition to Rockstar's latest hit, Red Dead Redemption. The add-on includes a total of nine new multiplayer areas, eight classic characters from Red Dead Revolver, all accessible right away, new weapons and of course, new achievements and trophies. Legends and Killers is available now on Xbox Live for 800 MS Points, and the PlayStation Network Store for $10... I've been playing it all morning, and it's tons of fun... if you're looking to enhance your Red Dead experience, this is just what you need. Catch me online, I'll be playing till 5 P.M. EST. My PSNID is CaseyTheVA. Happy gaming!

AUGAll quiet on the GTA front GTAGaming.com - Rockstar/Take2 News | @ 01:30 PM MDT | By Neil
As Rockstar Games continues to focus on other titles, Grand Theft Auto news remains very scarce.
Parent company Take-Two Interactive has made no secret that it is looking to reduce its dependency on the GTA series for income - and its plans appear to be paying off. Rockstar Games has seen huge success with Red Dead Redemption, while sister label 2K Games is getting ready to launch Mafia II, its next big release following Bioshock 2. Edinburgh-based Rockstar North are known to be hard at work on the PS3 exclusive Agent, while a new Max Payne title and the mysterious L.A. Noire are also far into their development cycles. Notably however, the iPad version of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars promised for release in June has still not made an appearance. Technical issues or problems with Apple's notoriously difficult certification process may be delaying the release of what many believed would be a straightforward port.
